TORONTO, July 11 (UPI) -- A 38-year-old one-time Playboy model was in a Toronto jail Friday awaiting a bail hearing, charged with assault and robbery on the subway system.
Lisa Heughan, who appeared in Playboy's August 1990 "Girls of Canada" feature, also faces charges of making threats after being arrested Wednesday by Toronto Transit Commission special constables, the Toronto Sun reported.
They recognized her from security camera images captured Sunday when a woman tried to snatch an elderly woman's purse in a subway car. A man who saw the theft photographed the female thief, who then attacked him, a transit commission release said. The woman produced a knife and slashed the man's back before fleeing. The injury wasn't serious, the report said.
Heughan's criminal record of assault, threatening bodily harm, mischief and abduction will be factors in her bail hearing Monday, the report said.
