VANCOUVER, British Columbia, July 10 (UPI) -- Police in Vancouver, Canada, are searching for men who allegedly parked in a handicapped space and when confronted, slammed a car door on a one-legged woman.

A woman who asked only to be identified as Susan told police the incident happened July 1 in a drug store parking lot, The Province newspaper of Vancouver reported.

She said when she asked the two men why they were taking up a clearly marked handicapped space, they began yelling obscenities at her, saying it was none of her business where they parked.

She said she then showed them her full-leg prosthetic and sat back down in her car parked beside them. She told police as the two men walked between the vehicles, one of them slammed her car door twice on her legs.

"I was shaking," she said. "It really scared me."

Police have reviewed security photos taken from inside the store and circulated descriptions of the men to local media, the report said.
