Bin Laden son featured in terrorist video

LONDON, July 9 (UPI) -- A new film appearing on a terrorist Web site features the youngest son of al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden calling for Britain and its allies to be wiped out.

Hamza bin Laden, 16, is introduced as the author of a poem that urges followers to accelerate the destruction of America, Britain, France and Denmark, The Daily Telegraph reported Wednesday.

"Oh, God, reward the fighters hitting the infidels and defectors," the young bin Laden says while a short clip of his father fills the screen.

The film made its debut on the Internet to mark the third anniversary of the July 7th London subway bombings that killed 52 people.

British terrorism expert Chris Dobson told The Sun that despite his youth, Hamza bin Laden appears to be emerging as his father's likely heir.

"The sins of the father are being visited upon the son," said Tory MP Patrick Mercer. "We now have the crown prince of terror taking up his father's mantle."

The Muslim Council of Britain has denounced the film.
