NEW YORK, July 5 (UPI) -- U.S. Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., will help presumptive Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama with his fundraising efforts, an Obama official says.
An unidentified Obama spokeswoman said Clinton, who dropped out of the race for the Democratic nomination, has agreed to appear at three fundraising events in New York to help the Illinois senator's bid for the White House, CNN reported Saturday.
Two of the New York events will direct raise money for Obama's general election campaign, while the third will focus on the debt accrued during Clinton's failed campaign.
CNN said the private events, which will take place Wednesday and Thursday, will help mark the fifth time the former primary rivals have appeared together since Clinton decided to end her bid for her party's nomination.
