DENPASAR, Indonesia, July 4 (UPI) -- Two people were killed Friday night when a bomb went off in Denpasar, the capital of the Indonesian province of Bali, authorities said.

The blast was believed to have come from a home-made bomb that detonated in front of a car workshop not far from the Denpasar police headquarters, ANTARA reported.

Police immediately set up a security line and began investigating the explosion, the official Indonesian news agency reported.

Bali Police Chief Inspector General Paulus Purwoko said the device appeared similar one that went off recently in Gatsu IV.
