Russia launches military satellite

BAIKONUR, Russia, June 27 (UPI) -- Russia successfully launched a military satellite aboard a Proton-K rocket Friday from the Baikonur Cosmodrome, Itar-Tass reported.

The launch was one of several planned this year to test new space vehicles, officials said.
