Two Gotti gang members plead guilty

NEW YORK, June 26 (UPI) -- Two more Gottis connected with New York organized crime will soon be behind bars after they pleaded guilty to attempted murder.

Vincent Gotti, 56, and his nephew, Richard G. Gotti, 40 both pleaded guilty Wednesday in a Brooklyn federal court to a failed 2003 killing of a bagel shop owner they believed was having an affair with a family member. Each of the Gottis could be sentenced up to 10 years in prison, The New York Post reported Thursday.

There are few Gottis still allegedly connected with gangs after a series of arrests and convictions. Their infamous leader, John Gotti Sr., who led his relatives in making the Gambino crime family the mob's most feared, died at a Springfield, Mo., federal prison in 2002. The latest two convictions join John Sr.'s brothers, Peter, 68, and Eugene, 61, in prison.

Vincent Gotti and Richard G. Gotti entered their pleas Wednesday.
