OXFORD, England, June 19 (UPI) -- Four detainees held at a British immigration detention center in Oxford, England, are missing after an escape Thursday, officials said.

Superintendent Howard Stone said police were working directly with the GEO Group UK Ltd., the group that runs the Campsfield immigration detention center, to locate the fugitives, The Daily Telegraph reported.

"We are working with GEO as well as the UK Border Agency to ensure everything is done to locate the missing detainees as quickly as possible," Stone said.

Initially, seven detainees went missing during the early morning but three were quickly found by police.

The escape marked the second breakout from the center, where Jamaican inmates opposed use of dogs at the site within the last year.

Last August, 26 detainees escaped from the center during a mass escape.
