KABUL, Afghanistan, June 16 (UPI) -- One of the youngest Taliban prisoners in Afghanistan says the teacher at his religious school in Pakistan told him he had to become a suicide bomber.
The 14-year-old boy, identified only as Shakirullah, says he was warned that if he didn't leave the madrassa willingly, he would be taken by force, Britain's Sky News reported Monday.
The news organization says it was granted permission by Afghan intelligence to conduct an exclusive interview with the boy.
Shakirullah said after leaving the madrassa, he was taken to the Pakistan border and handed over to three men who smuggled him into the city of Khost.
He was arrested by police the night before he was due to carry out a bomb attack in a busy market area of the city.
"They told me when I came back (after the attack), they would give me some money and find me a woman to marry but that I would come back and not die," the boy said.
