Gas blast kills 4, injures 4 in Russia

NAZRAN, Russia, June 13 (UPI) -- A natural gas blast in a convenience store in Nazran, Russia, left four people dead and four injured, officials said.

The explosion took place Friday in a food and liquor store near a gas station in Russia's North Caucasus Republic of Ingushetia, Novosti reported.

"The explosion killed four people, and another four have been put in intensive care," said Vladimir Markin, a spokesman for national investigation committee.

Officials said the blast killed a girl aged 13-14 and an adult male and they were investigating the other deaths.
