ALGIERS, Algeria, June 13 (UPI) -- Algerian government forces have reportedly killed 11 al-Qaida gunmen in a series of battles, a security source says.
Eight suspected members of the terrorist network were reported killed in an ambush in the mountainous region of Tizi Ouzu east of Algiers, the source told KUNA news.
They were said to be headed for Boumerdas, where three other reputed terrorists died in separate incidents, KUNA said.
