MCCLELLAN BLAMES BUSH AND CHENEY FOR MISLEADING PUBLIC

WASHINGTON, June 10 (UPI) -- Former White House spokesman Scott McClellan says he looks forward to testifying before a U.S. House of Representatives panel about the outing of a CIA agent.

"I'll tell them what I know," McClellan said on MSNBC's "Countdown with Keith Olbermann." "Whether or not there was any criminal activity involved, I don't know."

The House Judiciary Committee expressed interest in McClellan's testimony after the release of his memoir in which McClellan claimed U.S. President George Bush told him he authorized leaking Valerie Plame's name. Plame is married to former Ambassador Joe Wilson, who questioned the administration's credibility on the rationale for the 2003 Iraq invasion.

McClellan said the letter requesting his appearance June 20 specified only the Plame matter and whether there was a coverup.

"If they get into other questions," McClellan told MCNBC, "we'll go from there."
