
BAGHDAD, June 7 (UPI) -- A booby-trapped car exploded in Baghdad's Rusafa area Saturday, killing one person and injuring six others, an Iraqi medical official said.
Maj. Gen. Qasim Atta , spokesman of Baghdad Operations Command, gave a different report of the incident, saying only five people were wounded.
U.S. military officials also said Saturday Iraqi soldiers confiscated several caches of arms in Sadr City, KUNA reported.
Al-Sumaria reported Saturday a woman who was a suicide bomber killed herself in a blast in northeastern Al Ramadi, causing a police officer to die and four others to be injured.
In an unrelated incident, a police officer was abducted by armed men, while another three officers were killed and two were injured at a checkpoint in Al Dour District, authorities said.
A roadside bomb went off in south Bahraz, killing one soldier and injuring another, Al-Sumaria said.
U.S. military officials said they killed four armed men and took at least 20 into custody in Kirkuk in northern Iraq.
