NEW YORK, June 4 (UPI) -- The lawyer for the madam of the prostitution ring that brought down New York Gov. Elliot Spitzer won't say what his client has told federal investigators.

Cecil "Katie" Suwal pleaded guilty Tuesday to prostitution and money-laundering charges in a plea deal that will fetch her 21-27 months in prison when she is sentenced.

Lawyer Alberto Ebanks refused to comment after the hearing on what Suwal has told federal investigators. The New York Daily News said Wednesday that it was not clear what she might have said about the Emperors Club VIP or about Spitzer and other clients.

The New York Post said the deal did not require Suwal to testify, although the Sept. 12 sentencing date gives her all summer to decide what to do.
