COPENHAGEN, Denmark, June 2 (UPI) -- A Danish reporter's online pose resulting in multiple posts from men has created a pedophile scandal.
Journalist Line Rogind, 26, pretended to be a 13-year-old girl and was approached by more than 100 men in six months, allegedly including Copenhagen's 53-year-old police chief, a 43-year-old naval officer and a 72-year-old pensioner. Danish politicians and child protection agencies are now calling for a crackdown on pedophiles, The Telegraph (Britain) Monday.
"I never brought up sex myself, always answering (questions) in a neutral tone," Rogind reported in the Danish newspaper Ekstra Bladet. "Many men began chatting with ordinary questions about my hobbies. But then they got more and more personal, and wanted to meet up."
Included was Copenhagen's police chief who reportedly came to Rogind's apartment after checking to be sure "May's" mother would be out. There he was surprised by a team of journalists from Ekstra Bladet.
