CABUYAO, Philippines, May 19 (UPI) -- The only survivor of a deadly bank robbery in the Philippines died Sunday bringing the number of victims to 10, authorities said.
Isagani Pastor, customer relations manager of the Cabuyao branch of Rizal Commercial Banking Corp., was the only surviving witness to the robbery, the Philippines Star reported. He had been under heavy guard at a hospital since Friday.
Investigators believe the robbers were disguised as police officers. A security guard killed in the robbery recorded the arrival and names of several police officers Friday morning.
Two security guards who disappeared immediately after the robbery have been taken into custody for questioning. Avelino Razon Jr., chief of the National Police, said both men's hands were subjected to paraffin tests to determine if they had recently fired guns. They also were administered polygraph tests.
The robbery was the deadliest in the country's history.
