JAIPUR, India, May 14 (UPI) -- Indian authorities Wednesday were holding at least four people for questioning in the serial blasts in Jaipur, which killed at least 60 people.

The four included a man injured in the Tuesday night explosions in the capital of the western desert state of Rajasthan and a rickshaw puller, the Press Trust of India reported, quoting police.

The report said preliminary investigations pointed to Harkat-ul-Jehadi Islamia or HUJI, which India says is a terror group based in Bangladesh.

The eight blasts, detonated within12 minutes, targeted a busy market area at the busiest hour in the Pink City, a favorite tourist, the Times of India reported. The newspaper said the latest count showed at least 60 people died and over 150 injured, with the toll expected to go up.

Police said one explosive was defused by bomb disposal squad near the Hanuman Hindu temple.

The federal government has issued a nation-wide alert following the blasts.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje said the latest incident was the 21st terror attack outside Kashmir in the past three years, Time of India reported.
