Man shocked while trying to get parakeets

PEMBROKE PINES, Fla., May 13 (UPI) -- A Florida man who climbed an electrical pole, allegedly to steal parakeets nesting there, was found unconscious after getting a severe shock, officials said.

Police said that Cameron Fritzon was burned on both arms and fell about 20 feet, The Miami Herald reported. He was found inside a fenced Florida Power & Light substation in Pembroke Pines.

Fritzon was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital by helicopter. He could face charges for trespassing on the utility's property.
