WASHINGTON, May 10 (UPI) -- Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., will be out of the Democratic presidential nomination race in 10 days, aides to Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., said Saturday.

The aides said Obama is planning to push Clinton out of the race by May 20, the date both Kentucky and Oregon hold their primaries, Britain's Telegraph reported.

Obama staff members said by the time the two states hold their primaries, Obama should have 1,627 pledged delegates in his column. By adding the presumptive support of more than half the party's superdelegates, the staff members say Obama will have the 2,025 delegate votes needed for his party's nomination.

Obama said following his recent victory in North Carolina and close loss in Indiana that his camp's campaign efforts were similar to wrapping up a successful baseball game, The Telegraph said.

"I think we (could) make a pretty strong claim that we have got the most runs and it's the ninth inning and we have won," Obama said.
