ROME, May 9 (UPI) -- Italians have more confidence in Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi than in his government as a whole, a poll indicated Friday.

The survey, carried out by the IPR agency for the Rome daily La Repubblica, said that 53 percent of Italians trust the Belusconi, compared to 49 percent for his executive team, ANSA reported.

Youth Policy Minister Giorgia Meloni, at 31 the youngest minister ever, is an exception. He shows the greatest confidence among all the government ministers with an approval rating of 62 percent, LA Repubblica's survey said
