NEWARK, N.J., May 8 (UPI) -- A New Jersey man tracked from photographs found on a computer in Norway was arrested Thursday on child pornography charges.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents working with Interpol took Wayne Nelson Corliss, 58, into custody at his apartment in Union City, CNN reported.
Interpol said Corliss, using the name Casey Wayne, appeared as Santa Claus at children's parties and worked as an actor.
Corliss was arrested less than two days after Interpol an appeal on its Web site to identify a man pictured in pornographic photos that had been discovered by Norwegian police in 2006. The photos, stored on a computer under a file labeled "Thai_Luv" showed a man having sex with young boys in a country believed to be Thailand.
"Two days ago, this man's nationality, identity and location were totally unknown," Interpol Secretary General Ronald K. Noble said. "All we had to go by were a series of graphic photographs in which the suspect was seen sexually abusing young children and our confidence that the public and police worldwide would once again respond to Interpol's call for assistance."
