WASHINGTON, May 5 (UPI) -- Jenna Bush will be married at a newly installed altar made of Texas limestone, President George Bush and first lady Laura Bush said Monday.
"(My) one contribution" to his daughter's Saturday wedding to Henry Hagar "a giant cross made out of Texas limestone that will serve (not only) as the altar, but also serve as a landmark on our place for years to come," President Bush said during an interview in Washington with ABC's "Good Morning America."
Hager is the son of John Hager, assistant secretary at the U.S. Department of Education and former Virginia lieutenant governor.
The bride and groom are "very, very excited," Laura Bush said. "We, of course, are hoping for good weather. I was watching the weather very carefully before we started here."
The area has received some good spring rains so "I know the wildflowers are blooming and it's very green," Laura Bush said. "It's going to be a beautiful celebration."
