COLUMBUS, Ohio, May 5 (UPI) -- Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland signed a letter calling for the resignation of state Attorney General Marc Dann, who is embroiled in a sexual harassment scandal.

The letter was sent by Strickland and other leading Democrats to Dann, another Democrat, on Sunday night, The Plain Dealer, a Cleveland newspaper, said.

"We also want to make you aware that if you do not choose to resign,

Democratic members of the Ohio House of Representatives will immediately introduce a resolution seeking your impeachment," the letter said.

Dann has been on the hot seat for about a month since two female employees of the attorney general's office. accused their boss of pressuring them for sex, The Plain Dealer said. The director, Anthony Gutierrez, is a longtime friend of Dann.

On Friday, Dann admitted to an affair with 28-year-old female co-worker in his office.
