Investigators from Cumbria in northwestern England intercepted two trucks Saturday at Harwich on the east coast, the BBC said. Harwich is a major terminal for ferries to the continent, especially to the Netherlands.
Police were searching homes and businesses in Cumbria and neighboring Lancashire and in eastern England.
Investigators believe the drugs were imported from the continent, the News said.
The investigation began in Cumbria, with detectives from the Criminal Investigation Division working with Customs agents and investigators from Lancashire.
