Man allegedly kills dad, cuts up body

FOUR CORNERS, Colo., May 2 (UPI) -- A Colorado man was arrested for allegedly killing his father, dismembering the body and setting some parts in concrete, sheriff's deputies said.

Jeremiah Raymond Berry, 20, of Four Corners, Colo., was being held on $500,000 bond while the incident is being investigated, The Denver Post reported Friday.

Berry reportedly led authorities to portions of the body of the unidentified male victim, who may be his father, Jack Berry, who was reported missing, Montezuma County, Colo., Sheriff Gerald Wallace said.

Wallace said he wouldn't confirm whether the 42-year-old father was the victim until experts examine and identify the body parts, the Post said.

The identification process was made more difficult because the body was cut up and distributed to different locations around Montezuma County, officials said.

"It's not like your normal homicide where you have a body lying there and you can identify him," Wallace said to the Post. "There were some body parts in two buckets of concrete."
