Clinton celebrates Pennsylvania victory in Philadelphia

INDIANAPOLIS, May 2 (UPI) -- The Indianapolis Star Friday endorsed Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y. over Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., ahead of Tuesday's Indiana's primary elections.

The choice for the Democratic Party's candidate for president, the Star said editorially, is between "a gifted senator from Illinois who has enthused millions of new voters and an equally talented senator from New York with years of high-level experience."

"Experience makes Clinton a better choice, the paper said. Obama's "inexperience in high office is a liability." Cliniton is seen as "well prepared for the rigors of the White House."

"Clinton offers a clear-eyed view of the way things are," the Star said."She offers nuanced positions on how to address the war in Iraq, trade with China and economic expansion. Her depth of knowledge is remarkable."

The editorial praised Obama for offering "an attractive vision for the way things could be. He speaks eloquently of hope and change. He connects with voters, many who formerly felt disenfranchised, on a level few political leaders have attained."
