Hezbollah fighter vows attack on Israel

BEIRUT, Lebanon, April 27 (UPI) -- The military wing of Hezbollah is preparing in Lebanon, Syria and Iran for a major assault on Israel, a member of the militant group says.

One unidentified Hezbollah militant said an attack on Israel is a foregone conclusion and all that remains is training for it, The Observer reported Sunday.

"It's not a matter of if," the anonymous soldier said. "It's a matter of when Sayed Hasan Nasrallah (Hezbollah chief) commands us."

Another fighter said the military wing typically prepares in secret at various training camps in the Middle East, using anonymity to breed loyalty among its troops, the British newspaper reported.

"The most important thing is to never talk," the unidentified fighter said. "From the moment we begin our training, we are told two things: never disobey an order and never talk about the resistance. Hezbollah is not a job, it is not a family. It is a mix of religion, honor, dignity and discipline. It is my life."

The Observer said regional intelligence services have noticed a major increase in the number of Hezbollah fighters and a rise in regional concern regarding such a military buildup.
