Politics 2012: Ron Paul strategy keeps things interesting

MINNEAPOLIS, April 21 (UPI) -- A lack of healthcare in rural Minnesota prevents veterans from accessing their benefits, U.S. Rep. Tim Walz, D-Minn., and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi were told.
The Minneapolis Star-Tribune reported Monday that veterans complained that the long drives they are sometimes forced to take to Minneapolis can aggravate their health problems even more.
"When you come home you're kind of alone," said Mike McLaughlin, 23, a U.S. Marine who served twice in Iraq.
Pelosi, a California Democrat, told the veterans at a discussion at the Minneapolis Veterans Medical Center that Congress is working on the issues but made no specific promises.
"We have to do better," she said. "We're trying to address those issues."
