Clinton, Obama trade blows before Pa. vote

WASHINGTON, April 20 (UPI) -- Democratic presidential rivals Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton took turns Sunday lobbing bon mots at each other prior to Tuesday's primary in Pennsylvania.

In Reading, Pa., Obama, the senator from Illinois, brought up the large amount of lobbyists funds Clinton reportedly has collected. Clinton, the senator from New York, chided her opponent by knocking his leadership abilities, FoxNews.com reported.

"She's taken more money from lobbyists and special interest than any candidate, Republican or Democrat," Obama said of his campaign rival.

Clinton said last weeks debate put their differences on display.

"And it's no wonder that my opponent has been so negative these last few days of the campaign. Because I think you saw a big -- you saw a big difference between us. It's really a choice of leadership," Clinton said.

Meanwhile, Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill., took time during "Fox News Sunday" to detail what Clinton would need to be victorious Tuesday and beyond.

"If you look at the remaining contests, you understand that the Clinton campaign is running out of real estate. There are only a handful of states left. She needs over 60 percent of the vote in each one of them to catch up with Barack Obama," Durbin said.
