Officials at General Staff Headquarters say Turkish jet fighters attacked a group of armed PKK militants Wednesday as they were preparing to cross the border into Turkey, The New Anatolian reported.
The military said all the militants were killed but did not specify how many were involved.
In separate operations, clashes between Turkish security forces and PKK militants in southeastern Anatolia resulted in the death of one rebel and the seizure of arms and ammunition, the military said.
There was speculation the Turks had stopped the attacks for several weeks under pressure from the United States, The New Anatolian said.
