An Israeli Desert Force Patrol discovered the men, and a third gunman, near the Kerem Shalom border crossing, Israeli officials said.

The three were identified as members of Islamic Jihad, ynetnews.com reported.

The third man escaped and was pursued inside Gaza by Defense Forces troops and an Israeli Air Force helicopter, Palestinian sources told ynetnews.
