SEOUL, April 17 (UPI) -- South Korea's new top nuclear envoy, Kim Sook, says he expects the United States to reward North Korea once it fully explains its nuclear program.
Kim said he expects the United States to quickly remove North Korea from its list of terrorism-sponsoring states once Pyongyang has provided correct information about its uranium enrichment efforts, South Korea's Yonhap News Agency reported Thursday.
"The U.S. will take necessary steps almost simultaneously with the submission of the declaration," he said.
Six-way talks on North Korea's nuclear program have been stalled for months due to a dispute over the contents of the declaration.
North Korea has apparently provided a list of its plutonium-related programs, but the United States wants a "complete and correct" explanation, the news agency said.
