Fla. woman allegedly arranged hit on ex

WELLINGTON, Fla., April 16 (UPI) -- Police in Florida say they have unraveled a murder-for-hire plot allegedly hatched by a woman who had secretly refinanced the family home.

Marie Pierre-Bien-Aime, 35, of Wellington was released on bond last week after she was arrested for allegedly soliciting an acquaintance to have her florist ex-husband killed.

"This is crazy," Samuel Bien-Aime told The Miami Herald Wednesday. "It is like a movie."

The couple had divorced earlier this year after Samuel discovered his wife had taken out a second mortgage on the house without his knowledge.

The Herald said that according to Miami-Dade police reports, the man approached by the former Mrs. Bien-Aime accepted a $300 down payment and then went to Samuel and offered to split the money.

The police were soon involved and the woman was picked up when she allegedly tried to deliver more cash to the hit man.
