Two of the superdelegates are from Toronto. Toby Condliffe and Robert Bell are both 63, and hold dual Canadian-U.S. citizenship, the newspaper said. While they are friends, they are divided on who the Democratic presidential nominee should be.

Condliffe said he supports Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., while Bell said he favors Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y.

Both men told the Globe and Mail they expect the race will be decided by early summer, and each said they would consider changing support if major developments emerge before the convention.

Canada is the only country outside the United States that is home to more than one Democratic Party superdelegate, the report said.
