Olympic torch passes through Argentina

BUENOS AIRES, April 12 (UPI) -- Argentine athletes carried the Olympic torch through the streets of Buenos Aires Friday amid minor protests, said police officials.

Anti-China demonstrators lined the streets where athletes carried the torch, but they did not interrupt the progress of the Olympic tradition as protesters did in France, Britain and the United States.

Protesters are trying to draw attention to China's human rights record, particularly its policy on Tibet.
