Report says Iran seeks long-range missiles

LONDON, April 11 (UPI) -- Examination of Iran's most recent missile launch indicates the nation is developing long-range missile technology, a British military expert report said Friday.

Jane's Information Group said further that Iran is developing a space center, which would require identical technology to a long-range ballistic missile capability.

Using exclusive satellite imagery, Jane's says the missile launch in early February indicated no improvement in current medium-range technology.

But it showed a new launch location that indicated the site where Iran is seeking a solid-propellant missile capability.

The report also said the size and capability of the Iran arsenal appeared similar to North Korean facilities.
