TERRE HAUTE, Ind., April 11 (UPI) -- Fire destroyed Sen. Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign headquarters in downtown Terre Haute, Ind., early Friday, fire officials said.

Two women were reported in the headquarters when flames ignited but both got out safely, John Gardner, the Terre Haute Fire Department public information officer, told WTHI-TV in Terre Haute. However, one of the women's cars reportedly caught fire.

There was no immediate word on what started the blaze.

"When they arrived on the scene, flames were shooting out the tops of it, and the vehicle in front was also involved in the fire," Gardner said. "At this point all we know is that there was a structure fire. We put it out, and we are going to do our investigation,"

"It was really burning. The front part hadn't caved in yet. When it caved in, it fell on her car. Her car was on fire inside and out," said George Leach, a witness.
