NEW ORLEANS, April 7 (UPI) -- Authorities in Louisiana were seeking the extradition from Texas of a man who allegedly killed his wife and his in-laws in Washington Parish, La.

Texas police say David Baker, 35, confessed to the slayings after being pulled over for speeding in the San Antonio area early Sunday.

Washington Parish authorities told WDSU-TV in New Orleans that they went to the address where Baker's car was registered and found the bodies of his wife, Emma, and her parents.

Baker, who was released from jail only last month, will face three counts of first-degree murder when he is transported to Louisiana.
