HARARE, Zimbabwe, April 7 (UPI) -- A New York Times reporter jailed for covering the elections in Zimbabwe without government permission was released on bail Monday, a U.S. official said.
Barry Bearak, a British citizen, was taken into custody Thursday in a raid at a small hotel on the outskirts of Harare, the Times reported Monday.
