LOS ANGELES, April 6 (UPI) -- Two men with a case containing high-tech recording devices were arrested at Los Angeles International Airport before boarding a flight to China, police said.

Authorities said the men were illegally transporting highly sensitive cameras possibly for army use, KABC-TV, Los Angeles reported.

Officials said one of the men arrested Saturday was a Chinese national while the other was a naturalized citizen.

The suspects were carrying 10 small cameras capable of infrared recording, federal officials said.

The men reportedly did not have the necessary licenses to carry such items out of the United States.
