CHICAGO, March 30 (UPI) -- Animal control and police officials are telling people north of Chicago to be on the lookout for a large cat, thought to be a roaming cougar.
Authorities made a plaster cat of a large footprint discovered in a wooded area of Lake County Friday, the Chicago Tribune reported Sunday.
"We know it's large just by the footprint it made," North Chicago Mayor Leon Rockingham said of the cat.
A Lake County resident reported seeing the big feline Thursday.
"This thing was huge. At first I actually thought it was a deer," said North Chicago resident Cheryl Coleman in the Lake County News Sun.
