PALE, Bosnia-Herzegovina, March 27 (UPI) -- The European Union and NATO raided homes of family and aides of indicted war crimes fugitive Radovan Karadzic in the Bosnian town of Pale Thursday.

Karadzic and his former military chief, Ratko Mladic, have been on the run from The U.N. war crimes tribunal in the Hague for more than 12 years.

The pair face charges of war crimes and genocide for their role in the Bosnia war in 1992-95.

Karadzic's family was questioned about his whereabouts, Deutsche Welle said.
