ATLANTA, March 25 (UPI) -- The so-called Barbie Bandits robbed a Georgia bank together but one will be going to prison and one won't, judge decided Monday.
Ashley Nicole Miller, 19, was sentenced to two years in jail and eight years probation, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported. She also was ordered to pay restitution to the bank.
Her accomplice, Heather Lyn Johnston, 20, was placed on 10 years' probation, the newspaper reported.
A third defendant, Benny Allen III, 23, the Bank of America branch teller who was the inside man in the Feb. 27, 2007, holdup, was given five years in prison plus five years' probation. Michael Chastang, 28, the person who plotted the whole scheme, has yet to be sentenced.
Miller and Johnston drew international attention when a video showing the two sunglasses-wearing blondes laughing their way through the holdup was splashed across the Internet. They were arrested two days after $11,000 in the heist.
