RIO DE JANEIRO, March 20 (UPI) -- Brazil will supply Argentina with its surplus energy through the South American winter, from May to July, Folha de Sao Paulo newspaper reported Wednesday.

Brazilian Energy and Mining Minister Edison Lobao said Brazil will supply Argentina with 300 to 400 megawatts daily during the winter.

Argentina in return will begin repaying Brazil by way of electricity once weather warms up in the spring.
