Spitzer scandal reaches Girls Gone Wild

LOS ANGELES, March 19 (UPI) -- An ex-prostitute allegedly hired by former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer has turned up in a Girls Gone Wild production, franchise owner Joe Francis said.

It has been discovered that Ashley Alexander Dupre, who is suspected of spending time with Spitzer at a hotel in Washington last month, participated in the 2003 production of a Girls Gone Wild video in Miami, the Los Angeles Times reported.

"Ms. Dupre spent a full week on the GGW bus and shot seven full-length tapes that included nudity and same sex contact. Dupre later took a Greyhound Bus home," Francis said in a Tuesday news release.

After finding out about the footage, Francis reportedly took back a $1 million offer for Dupre to be an anchor for his 2008 Girls Gone Wild Spring Break Tour and appear in his Girls Gone Wild magazine.

Revelations last week that Spitzer was alleged to have paid thousands of dollars for prostitutes led to his resignation as governor of New York.
