ORANGE PARK, Fla., March 18 (UPI) -- A Florida police officer who wondered why a driver pulled over in a traffic stop was wearing gloves helped solve the burglary of a sports memorabilia shop.

David Gonzalez was pulled over before the break-in at Dan's Sports Cards in Orange Park, the Florida Times-Union reported. After the burglary early Monday, the owner, Dan Williams, identified Gonzalez from a photo array as a man who had been in his store and had looked closely at some of the cards that were taken.

Among the stolen items was a Mickey Mantle rookie card valued at $20,000.

Investigators found store display cases in the trash at the apartment complex in Jacksonville Beach where Gonzalez's girlfriend lives. The cards were found there and in Gonzalez's apartment.
