Dallas overpass mom has $2 million bond

DALLAS, March 18 (UPI) -- A Dallas woman was held on $2 million bond this week for allegedly throwing her two young sons from a freeway overpass.

Khandi Busby, 27, faces charges of attempted murder and causing injury to a child, Dallas County Jail records examined by The Dallas Morning News indicated.

Busby allegedly threw her two sons, ages 8 and 6, off the Interstate 30 overpass during rush hour last Wednesday and then jumped off the bridge herself. All three survived the 22-foot fall.

Child Protective Services was seeking custody of the boys Tuesday.
