Bill Clinton stumps for Hillary in Indiana

Clinton was in the Hoosier State campaigning for his wife, Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton, the junior senator from New York.

Hillary Clinton, he said, is the most prepared of the candidates to serve as commander in chief and is the most likely to defeat Arizona Sen. John McCain, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, in the November general election, The Indianapolis Star reported.

"All of us know the country needs to change, and she is the person most likely to win because of her national security credentials, her platform and her economic record," Clinton said in Lawrenceburg.

He also said Hillary Clinton would help boost the ailing U.S. economy by creating new jobs and addressing the subprime mortgage crisis.

Indiana holds its primary May 6, when Hillary Clinton will square off against rival Barack Obama, the junior senator from Illinois.

"This really is the decision: Do you want the feeling of change, or do you want someone who is a change-maker and can make your life better?" Bill Clinton said of the primary.
