BAGHDAD, March 15 (UPI) -- U.S. and Iraqi forces killed two terror suspects during an operation in Diyala Province targeting associates of an al-Qaida suicide bombing cell.
The two men reportedly were reportedly brandishing weapons when forces opened fire on them after they failed to comply with soldiers' directives to lay down their arms, said a U.S. military statement released Saturday.

Officials said forces discovered several weapons and equipment inside the suspects' vehicle and in a nearby cave, which were all destroyed.
