Politics 2012: Ron Paul strategy keeps things interesting

BRASILIA, Brazil, March 13 (UPI) -- U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said Thursday during her visit to Latin America that the region needs to be vigilant about terrorism.
Agencia Estado reported that, during her stop in Brasilia, Rice said Brazil's dense jungle border with Colombia must not be a hiding place for terrorist groups.
The secretary was referring to Colombia's Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, or FARC.
Both the U.S. State Department and the Colombian government consider FARC to be a terrorist organization.
Rice, who met with Brazil's president and foreign minister, will head to Chile next to meet with President Michelle Bachelet and other officials.
